You at AGC’s Technovation Centre – Engineering department – your mission

  • You will be based at the Technovation Centre close to Brussels (Belgium) where research & development and engineering activities are centralized under one roof with 280 members of personnel
  • You work for the engineering department - mainly for building projects
  • Inside the "utilities" cell, you are responsible for production and processing projects in terms of
    - automation systems (DCS, PLCs, variable speed drives, industry 4.0)
    - Instrumentation and process control
    - low voltage electrical distribution

The Role / Job :

Your responsibilities

  • analysis of needs with internal customers
  • budget definition
  • development of specifications
  • price requests
  • technico-economical analysis
  • negotiation with potential suppliers
  • follow-up of orders
  • technical reception of supplies
  • organisation and follow-up of the installation on site
  • active participation in site tests and commissioning
  • technical support to factories
  • assistance to R&D for new products development and projects to meet the European climate goals

Requirements :

Your profile

  • Civil or industrial engineer
  • Specialization in automation, instrumentation or electricity
  • Strong interest for technical challenges, innovation and creativity
  • Curious, with a bias for in depth understanding of the customers’ true issues
  • Oriented to action and results, perseverant and autonomous
  • Team spirit and initiative
  • Very good self organization
  • Five years of experience, preferably in the engineering department of a manufacturing industry
  • Notions of DCS and PLC programming will be appreciated, as well as experience in modern control/command technologies (fieldbus, communication interfaces, industry 4.0, etc.).
  • Travelling abroad is part of the mission - mainly in Europe and Russia, from a few days (generally) to a few weeks (occasionally)
  • Fluent in English (essential). Knowledge of French is a must.
