Based in Belgium, AGC Glass Europe is the European branch of the AGC group (Asahi Glass Co., Ltd), one of the world's largest producer of flat glass. We produce, processes and distributes flat glass for the construction industry (external glazing and indoor decorative glass), the automotive industry, solar applications, and specialized industries (glazing for railway and subway cars and ships, glass for domestic appliances, and various high-tech applications).

Located at AGC’s Technovation Centre the function takes  part in the  Pulsaart Start -Up structure in the AGC Mobility Group

  • You will be based at the Technovation Centre close to Brussels (Belgium) where research & development, engineering and IP activities are centralized under one roof with 280 members of personnel
  • More specifically you will be part of the Pulsaart (by AGC) start-up - https://www.pulsaart.com - where connectivity products for transportation-mobility are developed.
  • With a dynamic team of 16 people, you will contribute to building a unique glass based antenna portfolio and operating an exclusive measurement service centre around a high tech large dimension anechoic chamber.

The Role / Job :

Your mission

Our activity is growing fast. We are looking for a RF Laboratory Engineer to reinforce and lead our measurement  team. Your mission will focus on leading the measurement activities and organizing the operational discussion with the customers.

With the support of the measurement expert and the metrology manager, you will

1/ Management of our state-of-the-art anechoic chamber operations

  • Creation and supervision of measurement campaigns schedule, including team planning and delivery planning
  • Coordination and technical alignment of the measurement setup with the customer
  • Guarantee the correct execution of the measurement campaign
  • Drafting measurement report for customer
  • Answering customer claims with the support of Team Leader.

2/ Organization of laboratory activities and ensure that the equipment is in working order

  • Organization of laboratory activities and management of measurement equipment
  • Supervision and follow-up of calibrations and maintenance
  • Resolution of technical issue, in collaboration with anechoic chamber supplier and chamber expert
  • Management of the department's car fleet

3/ Management of ISO17025 accreditation

  • You are responsible of the Pulsaart Quality System, with the support of the metrology engineer and the measurement expert (including process, procedure and instructions)
  • Training of the team in the relevant fields
  • Implement, with the team leader and quality manager, corrective actions

Requirements :

Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering - electricity, electromagnetics, telecom or  related field.
  • First experience in project management and customer relations is a strong plus.
  • First knowledge of electromagnetism or antenna physics
  • Knowledge of Matlab
  • Capable of performing antenna measurements (VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, near-field measurement) or willingness to learn.
  • Flexible and comfortable in a changing environment.
  • Autonomous in his/her work and ready to take new responsibilities
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of French or a strong willingness to learn
