Its operations are present in Europe and South America and is driven by 3 strategic Business Units:

  • Architectural Glass Europe Upstream is responsible to supply raw glass to its own division and to the Automotive Division.
  • Architectural Glass Europe Downstream is responsible for processing and distributing raw glass into finished building products.

The Role / Job :

Your mission:

Within  AGC Glass Europe, Downstream Business Unit, Processed Glass organization, we are looking for a Production Coordinator depending directly from the Regional Director.

The Processed Glass Division is one of the pilars of the Downstream Organization. Global turnover is about 650M with a total of 3.200 FTE. Processed Glass is organized in 3 different regions: CE, Dach and BeNeFraSp.

All these regions are managed by Regional Directors who are responsible for a perimeter of different plants. These plants are managed by Business Managers who are fully responsible for their result and operations (P&L).  They drive the operational actions.

The Region BeNeFraSp is a large region. In order to be effective and efficient in operations management, functional authority for specific operational topics is handed over to the Production Coordinator. The position is the right hand in operations of the Regional BeNeFraSp Director.

You will be a support for the Business Manager to implement solutions regarding 4 catégories of operational topics: 

  • Improve the management of internal rejects.
  • Improve of OTIF or missing pieces.
  • Improve of yield or productivity.
  • better management of stillages.


  • Sometimes, production issues need support or coordination from the AGC organization outside the plant. The Production Coordinator is there to support, to find help from colleagues but also to decide when necessary. The Opex Manager will also support e.g. on quality problems, machine breakdowns, iTops, AES methodology. The difference in roles between Production Coordinator BeNe and the Opex Manager is that the Production Coordinator can decide, e.g to bring help from one plant to another plant, to move orders, to move stillages,.. As mentioned, in the first stage the Opex Manager will take both.


  • It might be necessary to replace a Business Manager or Production Manager, if the succession plan is not in place. The Operation Manager can be a temporary stand-in.


  • Plants can raise operational questions to the production coordinator.


Requirements :

Are you the perfect match?

  • You have 10 to 15 years of experience in Production management or equivalent role and experience in team management. Preferably in complex and international companies.
  • You have lean methodologies knowledge with concrete practice & experience.
  • You are a pro-active problem solver with a pragmatic approach and the ability to simplify complex problem into solvable tasks.
  • You have a strong experience in project management.
  • You learn fast and adapt to new contexts and concepts.
  • You are an excellent communicator capable of influencing and motiving people.
  • You are expert on supporting significant change / transformation projects within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • You are fluent in English, Dutch and French (or ready to improve quickly your French level ).
