The Supplier Development Manager develops, coordinates and leads supplier development and qualification assuring long term supply at world class performance levels with quality, delivery, cost and service.

The Supplier Development Manager is working hand in hands with Purchasing Category Manager & Project Sourcing Manager to follow supplier’s performance all along component lifetime.

He / she assists in new supplier development and manages existing supplier maintenance and continuous improvement activities.

He / she leads supplier development programs for critical suppliers and manages supplier metrics while working with cross functional AGC teams to achieve a supply base compliant with Automotive requirements.

He/she performs product & process external audits assessing suppliers competence, proposing and discussing corrective measures in case of issues & product design changes, verifying their implementation in order to achieve stable deliveries at the required quality, quantity and competitive cost level. 

 

Are you the perfect match ?

Professional competences:

  • common knowledge of production & quality & development systems
  • minimally 4 years of practise in this or similar area (supplier relationship, automotive, connectors)
  • knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3
  • basic knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, SPC
  • specific customer requirements knowledge (e.g. Formel, VDA, etc.)
  • excellent knowledge of English, spoken and written
  • knowledge of MS Office, basic knowledge of SAP
