Your mission :

Join AGC's Chemical branch, one of the world’s leading producers of fluorochemicals and fluorochemical materials. You will be based in their new laboratories at the Technovation Centre in Gosselies (Belgium). 

Their objective is to support the European Green Deal by expanding hydrogen related developments and to become number one in Europe thanks to the Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM). AGC Chemicals is one of only four manufacturers of this membrane in the world. AGC Chemicals is also active in the field of coatings and cosmetics.

You will be part of the Chemical group focusing on Water Electrolysis (WE) and will report directly to the WE Group manager.

 As part of your mission, you will: 

  • Comprehensively manage test data obtained from the Lab electrolytic cell, report and discuss it with internal members and external parties (customers, academic societies, debriefings at industry associations, etc.).
  • Propose and implement development actions.
  • Discuss the priority of evaluation tests with stakeholders
  • Conduct on site management of the water electrolysis lab: safety management, operational management (prioritization of operations, giving work instructions to operators during the tests), maintenance of equipment.
  • Provide customer support (explaining and discussing technical data) to the membrane buyers
  • Visit customers and make technical presentations to promote membranes, as required
  • Be the spokesperson with the Japanese R&D center on all WE issues

Are you the perfect match ?

Your talents :

  • Chemical engineer or PHD chemistry
  • Knowledge about electrochemistry, chemical engineering, and thermodynamics.
  • Experience in RD of (water, salt or other) electrolysis or fuel cell-related technologies is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Good communicator: with team members, internal/external stakeholders
