You at AGC’s TIV Business Line – Purchasing Department – your mission : 

You’ll join the railway glass division of AGC, supporting 2 factories in Europe: Seneffe, in Belgium, and Slupsk in Poland. You will be based in Seneffe, Belgium.

Your mission as Supplier Quality Engineer is to successfully establish a reliable partnership with suppliers, developing and improving their capability and performance during project and serial phase. In more details:

  • Visit and audit potential and existing suppliers
  • Supervise supplier quality activities during project phase (material certificates, control tools, manufacturing procedures, control plan, …)
  • Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) at supplier to grant approval of the supplied part
  • Review drawings during design phase and provide input about tolerances definition, control methods, etc
  • Support factory quality staff for escalation or complex root cause analysis of issues with suppliers
  • Support factory staff with advice regarding internal checking fixtures for incoming inspection of supplied parts

Are you the perfect match ?

Must have

  • Engineering master degree
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (ex: ISO 9001, ISO/TS 22163, IATF 16949, EN 9100, …
  • Good  knowledge and experience in the core quality tools e.g. problem-solving (8D, 5-why, Pareto, Ishikawa..), advanced quality planning (FMEA, process-control-plan, ...)
  • General understanding  of manufacturing processes, and supporting processes such as supply chain.
  • Ability to work within different cultures, experience in conflict management 
  • Business fluency in English
  • Driving license

Ideally would have

  • 3 years of relevant experience in any transport industry developing new products
  • Experience in auditing, either as internal auditor, supplier auditor, or process auditor (ex. VDA 6.3)
  • Process approval knowledge (PAPP, process capability, capacity, MSA, ...)
  • Experience with metallic components (steel, aluminium… including welding)

The job position is based in Seneffe, Belgium. Travel within Europe once per month on average.

The AGC Seneffe plant is specialized in the manufacturing of railway glazing, in particular chemically toughened front glass. With the advantage of belonging to a major industrial group, the Seneffe plant is family-sized, with a team of around 65 people. We are a factory that’s motored mostly by manpower instead of robotics.
