next job was about...

You will be joining the Chemical branch of the AGC  group, one of the world’s leading producers of fluorochemicals and fluorochemical materials. You will be based in their new laboratories at the Technovation Centre in Gosselies (Belgium). 


Their objective is to support the European Green Deal by expanding hydrogen related developments and to become number one in Europe thanks to the Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM). AGC Chemicals is one of only four manufacturers of this membrane in the world. AGC Chemicals is  also active in the field of coatings and cosmetics

Mission and tasks  
You will be part of the Chemicals group focusing on silica products for cosmetics. You will be responsible for carrying out experimental formulation work, performing performance testing and writing reports. 

Primary Functions of Role / Key Accountabilities     

  • Carrying out experimental work for AGC Chemicals products with a focus on Lumiflon used for paints and Asahi Guard for water repellent
  • Developing new or improved testing/analysis/product performance methods to satisfy customer demands and expectations.
  • Advising on the development and application of test methods and product formulations, providing technical support to customers.
  • Writing reports / documentation on lab experiments.
  • Performing general administrative tasks including creation and updating lab databases, procedures.
  • Safe operation and general maintenance of the Lab and equipment 

Are you the perfect match ?

Your talents : 

  • Bachelor Degree Chemistry.
  • Preferably more than 3 years working in a lab environment: experience in  formulation , safe working practices, laboratory equipment, testing and  result analysis.
  • Knowledge of excel to present, extract or analyse raw data
  • Communication/presentation skills to give  feedback results in a clear and concise manner and / or present to groups
  • Time management skills: ability to prioritise  work to meet business requirements and deadlines.
  • Command of English Language, both spoken and written. Everyday communication and training will take mostly place in English
