Your mission:

Within the Procurement HQ team, you will be in charge of the new category Electronic Glazing Systems for the Automotive Business Roof. Your primary objective will be to develop and execute the electronics and EMS services purchasing category strategy with the long-term suppliers. You will also be responsible for sourcing the categories of the Roof Business Unit (such as plastics, metal, connectors, ..) and ensuring that purchasing deliverables are met by optimizing the TCOs, including Make or Buy. 

As Category Manager for Electronics & EMS, you will:

  • Develop electronics supply market Intelligence, risks analysis and advanced sourcing activities to define, qualify and develop a supplier base
  • Ensure complete supply base management cycle while securing contract, for optimized cost, quality, delivery, sustainability performances
  • Ensure long-term relationship development with strategic suppliers and extend the collaboration to innovation, joint commercial approach 
  • Monitor global industry trends, track technology roadmaps and actively partner with Product and Business Development teams to mitigate supply and demand challenges
  • Collaborate with the internal and cross-functional AGC stakeholders to ensure alignment and support of electronics category strategy execution 

As Sourcing Manager for the Roof Business Unit, you will:

  • Pre-select and qualify strategic suppliers
  • Align with PCM category strategy to support project teams in identifying opportunities 
  • Be systematically involved at new projects' inception in order to conduct an early and thorough purchasing process
  • Use a "Should-Cost" model applicable to the E&E category to challenge supplier pricing
  • Manage RFP’s / RFQ’s with suppliers ensuring all commercial terms are agreed and documented
  • Drive components & services prices, equipment and tooling TCOs, from sourcing till program closure 
  • Lead all sourcing and post sourcing activities until project closure, create or update supplier’s contracts & agreements

Are you the perfect match ?

Your talents

  • Master’s degree in international Purchasing Management and Electronics Engineering.
  • 10-year plus experience in Strategic Purchasing, Advanced Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management, Category Management of components, modules, EMS in different highly-regulated industries, including Automotive industry (OEM or Tier1).
  • Exposure with ECUs, embedded systems, systems architecture, hardware & software developments or co-developments with full engagement of strategic partners (EMS and Engineering Services companies).
  • Ability to build Should-Cost models and TCO forecasts.
  • Professional Certifications in Project/Supply Chain/Advanced negotiation Management are valuable assets.
  • Experience in assessment & audits of PCBAs & Box Build development & manufacturing processes is a plus.
  • You are able to manage expectations from different stakeholders.
  • You have the ability to adapt your communication at all levels in a multicultural environments.
  • Highly self-motivated, results oriented and able to collaborate in a matrix organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop solid long-term relationship with suppliers.
  • You are fluent in English, any other European language is a plus.
