We are looking for a motivated Maritime Transport & Customs Specialist (M/F/D) for a 5-month period.
As a replacement, you will join our European logistics team and support the coordination of our sea transport and some customs aspects. These activities cover the coordination of our overseas exports by container to many destinations over the world. AGC works with forwarders, who charter the containers at the main shipping lines.
You will report to the Sea freight and Customs Manager.
Your mission :
- You will communicate the sea freight forecast to the shipping lines
- You will follow-up of availability of containers and stillages for the sea freights
- You will coordination the operations with the different interfaces such as hauliers, forwarders, shipping lines
- You will be involved in requests for sea freight quotations and in road transport negotiations
- You will follow-up costs and operations reporting
- For the exports you will coordinate with external customs agents who realizes all customs declarations and you will prepare the files for the customs
- You will report to the Sea freight and Customs Manager
Are you the perfect match ?
Your talents :
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in supply chain or international trade
- You have some experience in logistics
- You have good analytic and problem solving skills
- You are rigorous with a good sense of organization
- Your excellent communication and your customer oriented attitude will be determining factors
- You can work with autonomy but you are also a good team player
- You have the willingness to learn and operate in an international environment
- You have a good command of English, Dutch is a strong plus
- MS office knowledge, ERP is an asset
