Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. As a data scientist at Flow Analytics by AGC, you will be play a key role for cleaning, analyzing and interpreting data acquired from sensors in the urban infrastructure. You will work closely with our product and engineering teams to develop predictive models and data-driven solutions that enhance our traffic analytics platform. Your work will directly impact the visualization and utilization of geospatial information to improve traffic flow and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Perception Algorithms & Models

o   Design, train, and optimize machine learning models for object detection, classification, and motion tracking in dynamic environments.

o   Apply computer vision techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of object perception systems.

Data Cleaning & Processing

o   Develop and implement scalable pipelines for cleaning and preprocessing large perception datasets, including sensor fusion of LiDAR, camera, and radar data.

o   Ensure data quality and integrity, handling missing values, noise, stitching, and anomalies in raw sensor data.

 Data Analysis & Reporting

o   Analyze large-scale perception data to extract actionable insights on object behavior, traffic flow, and environmental interactions.

o   Develop visualizations and dashboards to communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.

 DevOps & Infrastructure

o   Implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and integration.

 Collaboration & Integration

o   Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.

o   Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data science, geospatial analytics, and traffic management.

Are you the perfect match ?

Required Skills
o    Proven experience in cleaning, processing, and analyzing large datasets, preferably in traffic analytics or geospatial data analysis.
o    Expertise in Python and data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit).
o    Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques, especially for object detection, classification, and motion tracking.
o    Familiarity with cloud platforms for data processing (e.g., AWS, Azure) and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark).

Preferred Skills
o    Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) for building complex perception models.
o    Knowledge of geospatial data analysis tools and techniques.
o    Knowledge of edge computing solutions for deploying perception models in real-time environments.
o    Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or custom dashboard development (e.g., Plotly, D3.js).
o    Familiarity with testing frameworks (pytest).
o    Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Soft Skills
o    Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in interpreting real-world sensor data.
o    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
o    Passionate about learning new technologies and keeping up with industry trends.

Education & Experience
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
•    3+ years of experience in data science, particularly large datasets analysis.
