About the Role : 

As a Data Science Intern in the Automotive Replacement Glass (ARG) Business of AGC Automotive Glass Europe. Collaborating closely with a supportive and dynamic data science team, you will explore sales and production data, uncover valuable insights, and craft engaging visualizations to guide decision-making. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in using data to shape impactful business strategies while fostering your growth in data exploration, visualization, and communication. The specific project or assignment will be tailored to the agreed duration of the internship, which is preferably for a period of 3 months or longer.

Key Responsabilities : 

  • Partner with business experts to understand the broader business context and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with data scientists to explore sales and production data, uncover trends, and measure key performance indicators.
  • Prepare, refine, and interpret large datasets, transforming them into meaningful insights that address business challenges.
  • Develop and maintain data models and visualizations to effectively communicate findings to business process owners and stakeholders. 
  • Design and implement innovative solutions for decision-making and process enhancement.
  • Contribute to the documentation of data exploration processes, methodologies, and insights to support knowledge sharing and future learning.

Are you the perfect match ?

Desired Skills : 

  • Proficiency in data analysis using MS Excel and Python or other programming languages.
  • Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and visualization to craft clear and impactful narratives from data is preferred. 
  • Strong communication skills in English (C1), with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts in an approachable and engaging manner. 
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI, with an emphasis on creating user-friendly and visually appealing dashboards, is a plus. 
  • A collaborative approach to problem-solving, paired with critical and analytical thinking, and a proactive willingness to learn and adapt. 
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
