What if your

Managing the production processes and the production teams (40 Blue Collars & 2 shift leaders), supervising the development of the new processes or products and finally respecting the objectives defined for the production, within costs and quality levels ?

In our AGC Seneffe TIV (Transportation & Industrial Vehicles) plant, the full production is under the supervision of the production manager. He has to steer and monitor :
- production processes
- production performances
- team performances, variances and safety
- product quality
- timing/planning requirements
- possible technical problems
- new investments

The production manager is constantly in direct contact with internal and external stakeholders:
- different departments of the plant: maintenance, supply chain, quality, safety, etc.
- union's representatives
- subcontractors, customers, etc.

Place in the organization : The production manager reports directly to the plant manager and collaborates with other departments : quality, industrialization, supply chain, continuous improvement, maintenance, … Subordinates: coordinators (2) and operators (40-50), including gap leaders and team leaders

Key responsibilities :

1- Planning and scheduling
- plan and schedule the production activities according to the demand, capacity, and resources available
- Setting production goals, allocating materials, equipment, and labor, and coordinating with other departments such as engineering, industrialization, quality, and supply chain
- monitor and adjust the production schedule as needed, based on the feedback, issues, or changes that may arise

2- Supervising and training
- supervise and train the production staff, ensuring that they follow the standard operating procedures, quality guidelines, and safety regulations
- hire, evaluate, motivate, and discipline the employees,
- provide the staff with the necessary tools, training, and feedback
- communicate effectively with the staff, resolving any conflicts, complaints, or suggestions that they may have

3- Improving and innovating
- constantly look for ways to improve and innovate the production process, reducing costs, waste, and errors, and increasing productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
- analyze the performance data, identify the problems and opportunities, and implement the solutions and improvements, prepares the investment applications (CAPEX, OPEX)
- Owns the transformation activities that are supported by the process manager
- keep up with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the manufacturing industry, and adopt them as appropriate

4- Reporting and complying
- report and comply with the internal and external requirements of the manufacturing operation
- prepare and present the production reports, budgets, and forecasts
- ensure that the production meets the customer specifications, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards
- liaise with plant manager, Corporate, customers, suppliers, and auditors, and address any issues or concerns that they may have

5- Managing and leading
- manage and lead the production team, creating a positive and productive work environment
- setting the vision, mission, and values of the production unit
- define the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of the staff
- foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- inspire, empower, and recognize the staff for their achievements
- Lead by example
- care so that everyone, reach together to achieve those objectives that together are a common good

The ideal candidate for the Production Manager role at AGC Seneffe TIV is a highly skilled professional with a strong technical background, holding a degree in civil or industrial engineering or a related technical field.

With 5-7 years of management experience in an industrial environment, they possess a proven ability to lead teams and optimize production processes.

They demonstrate exceptional planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities that foster collaboration across diverse stakeholders.

Technically adept, they have a solid understanding of inventory management, production scheduling, lean manufacturing, and supply chain principles, and they thrive in dynamic environments requiring adaptability and precision.

Fluent in French and English, they are capable of seamless communication within the TIV Europe Business Line and AGC Group.

Personally, they are curious, proactive, and driven by a positive, challenging mindset, always eager to learn and improve production management techniques while inspiring their teams to achieve excellence.
