You will be responsible for quality assurance in the Float production department where the extra thin flat glass of high quality is produced for various Automotive, Solar and high-tech applications for customers all over the world. This means:
- Being responsible for the organization of the quality activities in the various production campaigns
- Managing the quality team that includes a supervisor and 4 employees and indirectly the quality controllers who work in a fully continuous work system
- Developing and coordinating quality controls and monitoring the glass quality
- Analyzing and interpreting the results and making a final decision regarding the glass quality
- Informing and coaching employees and securing knowledge and experience by documenting and organizing training to ensure the competencies of the employees
- Preparing quality reports for internal and external customers and being closely involved in internal and external audits
- Structurally contribute to improvements with the view to optimizing quality
- Helping to develop the safety policy in the department, motivating employees regarding a safe working attitude, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations and order and cleanliness
- You are the point of contact for customers with regard to quality, analyze customer reactions and complaints and formulate an appropriate action
- You report to the manager Float
Are you the perfect match ?
- You have a Master's degree or equivalent by experience (technically oriented) and would like to work in an industrial, international environment
- You have a pronounced affinity with quality, a critical eye and an eye for detail
- You have strong organizational skills, know how to set priorities and can make well-considered decisions
- You like to work in a team towards a common goal and know how to bring out the best in employees
- You are strong in data-driven analyses & accurate in your reporting
- You have good technical insight and see problem-solving as a challenge
- You have good communication skills in Dutch and English and experience in dealing with foreign customers
- You are stress-resistant and flexible
