Production manager in the Coater department where thin metal layers are sputtered on the glass surface. This glass is further incorporated into car windows and panoramic sunroofs. The job mainly involves:
- Daily follow-up of the production of coated glass with high quality standards
- Follow-up, supervise and adjust production so that predetermined production parameters and planning are achieved in a safe manner
- Managing the production teams (3 shift system during the week and weekend shift)
- Managing and ordering production materials and monitoring of new models
- Organizing various improvement projects and supporting capacity expansion
- Helping to ensure quality assurance in collaboration with the process engineer, quality manager and production managers by day-to-day reconciliation of the SQC measurements,making decisions about questionable production and adjustment of processes if necessary
- Investigating customer complaints, incident analyses: performing root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions
- Keeping regulations and instructions within the management system up to date
- Be closely involved in the development and testing of new coatings, specifically with regard to the necessary quality measurements
- Reporting to the Coater Manager and working closely with direct colleagues as well as external colleagues: AGC Glass Europe R&D Centre, AGC Japan, AGC Automotive
Are you the perfect match ?
- You have a master's degree in engineering and would like to work in an industrial environment
- You consider safety as a high priority and also talk to employees about this
- You have experience in a similar position and People management skills
- You are strong in data-driven analyses & accurate in your reporting
- You have strong organizational skills and you know how to set priorities
- You like to work in a team towards a common goal and know how to bring out the best in employees
- You are flexible and feel responsible for the correct and timely realization of the projects
- You have good communication skills in Dutch and English, French is a plus
- Your creative/analytical thinking, proactive approach and enthusiasm are determining factors
