What if your
next job was about...

You will join the Materials team within the European Procurement Department of AGC Glass Europe. You will be a key player, PVB being a strategic raw material for our business. You will play a crucial role on the new sustainability journey of AGC. You will be in charge of the negotiation of contracts with our suppliers, to define long term strategies of allocation and development. You will work in close collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing, Sustainability, Supply Chain, Finance, Purchasing teams. 

  • Category and Supplier Strategy: Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with company objectives and market trends.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate and establish relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent and reliable sources of PVB.
  • Cost Management: Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to optimize cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards or services.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams from Architectural glass and Automotive business to understand their requirements and to align material specifications with product performance. Ensure internally effective communication of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor supply chain risks, and regulatory changes to anticipate and mitigate potential disruptions. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, by ensuring internal & external compliance.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data and key performance indicators to track supplier performance, inventory levels, and cost efficiencies. Report to management.
  • Continuous improvement : Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency.

Are you the perfect match ?

  • You have an engineering  or master degree in supply chain, business, economics or equivalent.
  • You have experience in international Purchasing preferably in chemicals, polymers, or laminated glass. Knowledge of PVB materials and their applications is a strong advantage.
  • You want to contribute to further reducing  our company carbon foot-print.
  • You are a good communicator, able to create a network.
  • You have strong negotiation skills and are able develop solid long-term relationship with suppliers.
  • You are analytical, rigorous, attentive to details with the ability to see the big picture.
  • You are fluent in English, any other European language is a plus.
  • MS office proficient, Power BI and SAP MM are a plus.
  • Ready to travel.
