Project Overview
Join our dynamic team and contribute to the ARG Pricing Transformation initiative, a key project focused on revolutionizing our pricing strategies through data-driven innovation. As a Data Science Intern, you will play a vital role in developing a sophisticated price prediction algorithm, working at the forefront of machine learning and business analytics.
Role and Responsibilities
You will be involved in the end-to-end machine learning pipeline, from initial data handling to the final deployment of a price optimization model. Your key tasks will include:
- Data Compilation & Cleaning: Collect, clean, and consolidate large, complex pricing-related datasets from various sources.
- Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Dive deep into the data to uncover trends, patterns, and critical insights that will inform our modeling approach.
- Machine Learning Modeling: Develop, train, and rigorously evaluate machine learning models designed for accurate price prediction.
- Model Validation: Validate the performance of your models against established business benchmarks and historical data to ensure reliability and impact.
- Optimization: Build and refine optimization models that will help guide and support strategic pricing decisions.
- Documentation: Clearly document your methodology, findings, and recommendations for both technical and business audiences.

Required Qualifications:
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python is essential, with hands-on experience using libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, and NumPy.
- Business Tools: Experience with Microsoft Office is expected.
- Machine Learning Knowledge: A solid theoretical and practical understanding of supervised learning, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable conclusions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present your findings clearly.
- Soft Skills: You are autonomous, detail-oriented, and a proactive problem-solver.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with optimization libraries (e.g., PuLP, MIP, SciPy).
- Familiarity with pricing strategies or commercial analytics.
- Knowledge of SQL or experience with cloud data platforms or databases
- Knowledge of Power BI and Power Query
- Previous internship or academic project in a business or industrial setting.
