AGC is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer / Data Warehouse Developer to join our growing Data & Analytics team.
In this role, you will strengthen the back-end capabilities of our BI team, with a strong focus on Snowflake, Data Warehouse architecture, dimensional modeling, SQL, and data integration.
You will be at the heart of our data-driven strategy, designing and developing the data foundations that support analytics and reporting solutions across the organization. You will work with different source systems and integration technologies to build data pipelines from source systems to our Data Warehouse.
You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, BI developers, data engineers, application teams, and other IT teams to ensure that data is efficiently integrated, transformed, modeled, and made available for analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities
As a key member of our BI team, reporting to the BI Team Leader, you will:
• Design & Model: Design and develop Data Warehouse and Data Mart solutions, applying dimensional modeling principles such as star schemas, fact tables and dimensions.
• Translate & Architect: Translate analytical requirements into technical solutions and data models.
• Develop & Optimize: Design, develop and optimize complex SQL queries, views, transformations and data-processing logic.
• Build on Snowflake: Develop and maintain solutions within Snowflake, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, security and reliability.
• Integrate & Automate: Design and build reliable ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating data from multiple applications, databases, APIs, files and enterprise systems.
• Work with Modern Data Engineering Technologies: Develop data integration and transformation processes using technologies such as Snowflake Openflow, dbt, Talend, Airbyte or comparable ETL/ELT platforms.
• Collaborate: Work closely with BI developers and data consumers to provide reliable, performant and well-structured datasets for analytics and reporting solutions.
• Support & Troubleshoot: Investigate and resolve data, performance and integration issues across the data platform.
• Improve & Automate: Continuously identify opportunities to improve the performance, automation and scalability of the data platform.
• Mentor & Share: Act as a technical expert for Data Warehouse, Snowflake, SQL and data integration topics, sharing knowledge and promoting data engineering best practices across the team.

Must-Haves
Experience : 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehouse Development, Data Integration or a comparable back-end data role.
Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
Technical Expertise :
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and cloud-based Data Warehouse solutions.
• Expert-level knowledge of SQL and strong experience working with relational databases.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehouse architecture and dimensional modeling.
• Deep understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data integration architectures, and integration patterns.
• Experience with modern data integration and transformation technologies such as Openflow, DBT, Talend, Airbyte or equivalent ETL/ELT solutions.
• Experience integrating different types of data sources, including databases, enterprise applications, APIs and files.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices for version control, testing and deployment of data solutions.
Nice-to-Haves
• Experience with SAP SLT and SAP Business Data Cloud including SAP Datasphere.
• Experience with front-end BI solutions such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Familiarity with the wider Microsoft Fabric ecosystem
• Experience with Snowflake AI capabilities (Snowflake CoCo)
• Experience integrating data from SAP or other large enterprise applications.
• Experience with Python, particularly for data engineering, transformation, integration or automation.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
