AGC Automotive Europe specializes in providing customers with complete solutions in terms of car glazing and related technologies. It includes production and sales of products to vehicle manufacturers (Cars and Trains) in terms of Glazing, Added Value products and components systems; as well as a complete range of service in the aftermarket area from production to distribution and retail.

Within the context of the shift of the automotive commercial strategy “From volume growth to profit growth” the creation of new solutions (product or service) based on the value recognition by the customer (car maker, new mobility stakeholder or end-consumer) is a key pillar.

A new AGC dedicated structure called Incubation Factory has been created in order to take the lead on start-up activity of AGC Automotive Europe. For example our WIDEYETM start-up creates new solutions for the autonomous vehicles (https://www.wideye.vision).

The Role / Job :

  • Quality assurance - Ensure end-to-end project quality (from product design to mass production, going through prototyping) - automotive and optical quality for Wideye products,
  • Quality control - Manage and implement the quality control and processes (customers claims, non conformities, specifications, audits,…) – using state-of-the-art quality tools (PPAP, 8D, PDCA, …). Establish in-process inspection standards by studying manfufacturing methods,
  • Quality window - Act as unique window facing customer requirements during product Lifetime,
  • Specification and validation - Define product specifications in agreement with customer requirement and if needed propose an appropriate standard. Follow up and design validation plans for automotive applications - be responsible for reviewing design drawing for tolerances and quality matters,
  • Methods - Confirm and validate standard methods. Implement new and improve methods if needed (e.g. Six Sigma method),
  • Collaborations - Work collaboratively with key business partners to establish methodolgies to resolve quality issue. Coordinate and manage with production/prototype plant local quality team – train and/or assist plant associates on inspection techniques. Support the supply chain team by reveiwing quality standard.

Requirements :

  • Min 5 years professional experience preferably in quality management/insurance,
  • Relevant experience in optical systems (lenses, cameras,..) and/or automotive in a manufacturing environment,
  • You have a deep knowledge about optical and/or automotive quality requirements,
  • You have proven ability to implement change within existing organisation (change management),
  • Autonomous, entrepreneurial spirit, agile, willing to work within dynamic team, problem-solving mindset,
  • Strong project management, planning, organization & communication skills,
  • English speaking.
