AGC produces glass for construction (external glazing and indoor decorative glass) and for the automotive industry. The Automotive Glass division develops, produces, and commercializes a broad range of products such as windshields, side windows, rear windscreens and panoramic roofs, with advanced features: heated windshields, infrared and UV protection, head-up displays…

AGC Automotive Europe specializes in providing customers with complete solutions in terms of car glazing and related technologies. It includes production and sales of products to vehicle manufacturers (Cars and Trains) in terms of Glazing, Added Value products and components systems; as well as a complete range of service in the aftermarket area from production to distribution and retail.

Within the context of the shift of the automotive commercial strategy “From volume growth to profit growth” the creation of new solutions (product or service) based on the value recognition by the customer (car maker, new mobility stakeholder or end-consumer) is a key pillar.

A new AGC dedicated structure called Incubation Factory has been created in order to take the lead on start-up activity of AGC Automotive Europe. For example our WIDEYETM start-up creates new solutions for the autonomous vehicles (https://www.wideye.vision).

Mission and activities

  • Ensure effective management, control and development of the supply chain for a car-embedded electronic system,
  • Procurement of materials and services, negotiation and implementation of contracts with suppliers,
  • Coordination of cost reduction opportunities and improvements within the supply chain whilst reviewing best in class technology and alternative supply options,
  • Defining the sourcing strategy to ensure continuity of supply of materials to meet production and new product introductions,
  • Implementation of effective logistics models with suppliers to service optimally the internal manufacturing and customers requirements.

Requirements :

  • Master’s degree in business or commercial management,
  • 2-5 years experience within purchasing, quality or manufacturing management in a global supply chain servicing high technology electronics, mechanics, semi-conductors, CEM’s,
  • Experience of negotiating contracts and commercial terms and conditions,
  • Experience of introducing new products and/or processes in to volume production is strongly desirable,
  • Experience of working with ERP systems is an asset,
  • Autonomous, pro-active, entrepreneurial spirit, agile, willing to work within dynamic team, strong negotiation and influencing skills, with personal and organisational sensitivity, open to travel,
  • Fluent English language mandatory
